THE PERSONAL STORY
I am a freesurfer, craftman - artist and dad in my personal life.
In my profession, i work as creative interior designer for special demand. I focusing more quality than quantity.
I graduated as a goldsmith when I was young. I loved drawing and materials, but I didn’t know how metal came to life? However, the precision of the goldsmith profession was not enough of a challenge. After graduating my master diploma from the art university as a designer, I founded the IN DUST REAL design studio. Design objects, restaurant decoration, installation design and production were the main directions. In the past 15 years, we have implemented many special designs. The first major breakthrough was the design of bars and restaurants, which continues to be an important area for our team. In the projects, the common thread was creating a connection between artistic value and business goals. This is an interesting area and very exciting to design a bar. I love when the client gives feedback on the business success.
In my philosophy, design visuality should support the business plan.
For me, however, apartments have become more and more on focus. I have been asked to design several smaller and larger rental and private apartments. Unique kitchens and bathrooms. Then the designs of smaller weekend houses excited my creativity. Clever solutions. Special challenges in small spaces.
I have been drawing interiors since I was a teenager. I design floor plans. I think about bars, restaurants, apartments. Craft and producing has become a part of my life. Sculpture, ceramics, welding, woodwork. I have had my own workshop for 15 years, where I build installations. I collect objects. I collect stories with objects. I imagine their stories.
I create compositions from different objects. I search for unique pieces at flea markets all over the world.
I first encountered surfing in 2007, when I was studying at ESAD in Porto, Portugal. Since then, surfing trips have given me a lot of inspiration subconsciously. The sights, atmospheres and harmonies. Since 2016, I have been traveling in a camper van around Europe every winter. My wife has become a part of this and has become my partner in planning.
We are currently traveling as a family with our little girl. The freedom, bohemian world of surf culture, stirs in us with the bourgeois Budapest of Central Europe and the colorful hippie world of the Balkans. The French, Spanish, Portuguese countryside, the houses, shapes, objects, stories captivate me, while sometimes I also feel an attraction to the Scandinavian clean thinking.
Surflat came to life in this context.
The processing of personal connections and personal stories, from which a home can be shaped, brought an exciting direction. I considered the apartment as the canvas and the stories as the inspiration base.
I realized that the time a person spends in their own home should serve relaxation. The peace and harmony provided by the apartment is what can lead to even better results in everyday life.

After all, relaxation is the basis for everything. In my personal work process, I review the visions in my head every night when I go to bed, each time going deeper and deeper, until it forms a whole. Sketches, drawings are born. I start collecting objects and creating compositions. I collect colors, shapes, textiles from my environment. This is what we can later create the visual design from.
In the case of rental properties, I shape the visuals around a story in the same way. We take the direction they want with the clients. Who will be the market segment they would like to receive? We create a fiction story from which the image of the property emerges. As if it were someone's real living space. This is what also becomes attractive to external visitors, since they arrive at a real home. This way, the apartment is not just a standard apartment quickly thrown together on a market basis, but a home endowed with a story.
This is a market advantage, which is reflected in the continuous release of our completed works. It is clear that visuals and harmony are a decisive factor in the release of apartment successful business.
We based on the Budapest-Antwerp production studios. We started to expand the design in the EU in 2020.
